Catherine Rose Raffaele has been drawing since she was a child .She formally studied art,illustration and psychology at Fashion Institute of Technolgy and School of Visual Arts, both art schools in NYC. Her color pencil and pastel illustrations display color,composition and emotion in a creative manner. Catherine enjoys visual beauty, and she  earned a steady income for 30 years as a professional Make-Up Artist in NYC and California . Keeping up with her artistic talent, she freelanced in the art field,creating  illustrations  and making hand painted fabric for interior designers and private clients.

Catherine  now enjoys making one of a kind custom art using colored pencil and pastels,her favorite medium.The pencil point enables Catherine to display unique detail in her art work. People, animals and nature are her specialties.
